Lasciamo l'auto all’abitato di Grano e, seguendo la strada asfaltata, teniamo la destra prendendo il sentiero che si inoltra nella Val Grande, posta sopra l’abitato di Vezza d’Oglio. In poco tempo raggiungiamo le baite di Vartighera posizionate a 1380 m, incontrando il bivio del sentiero che proviene dall’abitato di Tu. A questo punto proseguiamo nel bosco costeggiando il torrente Grande, il quale rappresenta un affluente dell’Oglio, e in poco tempo raggiungiamo la Chiesetta di Carèt (foto 2), ove è posizionata una comoda area pic-nic. Proseguiamo oltre ed in venti minuti raggiungiamo la Malga Val Grande posta a 1785 m (foto 3) dove ci fermiamo per pranzare. Da qui il panorama spazia verso il Bivacco Occhi, sulle cime sovrastanti e guardando verso valle, notiamo la bellezza del bosco innevato. Riprese le energie ci prepariamo per affrontare la discesa, che ci riporterà al parcheggio di Grano, e poco prima della chiesetta, sul versante Ovest riusciamo a vedere tre cervi, che seppur lontani ci regalano una gioia immensa. In poco meno di due ore arriviamo al parcheggio dal quale in 10 minuti si raggiunge il paese di Vezza d’Oglio.

Attrezzatura: Ciaspole, guanti da neve, giacca anti-vento e bacchette (consigliate)

ENGLISH VERSION

We left our car in Grano and following the street we kept the right taking the path that runs trough Val Grande, located above Vezza d’Oglio. In short time we reached the huts of Vartighera, located at 1380 m, meeting the path that comes from Tu village. At this point we continue in the woods that flank in Grande river, one of the tributaries of the Oglio, and shortly we reach the church of Carèt (photo 2) where you also find comfortable pic-nic area. We went further and in twenty minutes we reached the Malga Val Grande at 1785 m (photo 3), where we stopped for lunch. From here the landscape gave us a view to bivouac Occhi, on the overlyings peaks and looking downstream we observed the beauty of the snowy forest. Once we recovered our energies we were ready to face the slope, that led us at the car parking in Grano, and on the west side we could see three deers. It was a joy to see them, altought they were far from us. In less than two hours we arrived at the car parking in Grano, from which you reach Vezza d’Oglio in ten minutes.
